Standard Chartered Bank were looking for innovative ways to provide value to their customers by supporting emerging technologies.
To this end, we looked at Microsoft's Kinect development platform to explore how gestural inputs could be used as a method of interacting with ones financial information.
As a proof of concept, we took existing sample data of the iPhones global usage to construct meaningful visualizations users could potentially interact with in order to compare and analyze information in new ways. This was an experimental design exercise to help Standard Chartered Bank visualize a gestural interactive system.
Using live data from global iPhone sales we devised an interface where the user can manipulate the content simply by using their hands. Instead of an on-screen cursor or directional arrows, a user can interact with the data itself to explore.
